Holly is a storyteller in clay, using a variety of ceramic processes including slip casting and wheel throwing to create her work.
She is deeply drawn to experimentation, enjoying the slow and methodical building of texture, stains, and reactive glazes in a controlled way before offering her vessels to the heat of the kiln. Through this process, each piece emerges as a unique object with its own character and personality.
Her practice encompasses both decorative and functional ceramics, with careful consideration given to form, surface, and use.
Holly gained a First-Class Honours degree in Design Crafts from De Montfort University. Following graduation, she went on to work for Throw Down judge Sue Pryke in her busy Leicestershire studio. She also supported Hannah Townsend at the British Ceramics Biennial and Ceramic Art London, before relocating to her studio and home in North Norfolk.
